Towards the end of the academic year 07/08, Robert Jeyakumar and Dr. Ian Chai sent appeal letter to the MMU authorities - an appeal for the students to form religious clubs. The appeal was granted on 26 June 2008. After receiving the good news, representatives from the three bodies (English CF, Chinese CF and Catholic Student Fellowship), both Malacca and Cyberjaya started working together on the paperwork. A proposal and the constitution of the soon-to-be MMUCS at that time were formed and were submitted to MMU. After much anticipation of being a registered club in campus over the years, finally, on the 3rd of September 2008, MMUCS was born! The first AGM for MMUCS was on the 10 September 2008 for Melaka while for Cyberjaya, it was on the 28 of August 2008.
